By painting or staining your fence you will protect your investment from the harsh Florida environment, UV Rays, mold, and mildew growth, while virtually eliminating all wood warping as your fence ages.

The best time to paint/stain and protect a fence is shortly after it's been installed. 

By sealing it up before Mother Nature sets in, you can avoid the deterioration process altogether and extend the life of your fence.  

If left untreated your lumber will turn gray within a few short months. 

We recommend 2 weeks of Dry Weather before painting, staining and sealing your new fence.

After 6 months your fence will turn gray and will need to be cleaned before painting/staining and Sealing.  Today’s treated pine lumber is really wet when it is new and must dry out. It is important to keep in mind, however, that the treatments used today are not what they used to be. So we are in a race against the clock to get the lumber stained and sealed before it turns gray, warps, or cracks.  

We offer 1 year warranty on the  workmanship.

Transparent or translucent stain. are recommended for newer fences.

Semi-Transparent, Semi-Solid are recommended for older fences.

Water based stains up to 2-3 years with sealer applied.

Stain wears away gradually and accommodates re-coating very easily. 

Paint may need to be removed and reapplied.

We can increase the life of your fence indefinitely with regular applications. Typically you will get an extra year out of your recoat before the next application is needed.

Your fence will be cleaned and restored to its natural wood color. using (Softwashing). This process will remove all of the built-up mildew and mold growth and allow us to stain the wood as if it were new. We use wood cleaners. We may choose to use power/pressure washers that operates from 800 to 2,000 psi. Using power/pressure washers at 2700-3500psi significantly damages the wood when not done by professionals. 

If not done right it will raise the grain, leaving streaks in the wood, and causes the structure to have pulp on the exterior that leaves an undesirable finish. 

This high pressure also pumps moisture into the pores which are the source of mold and mildew growth causing further damage. 

The proper cleaning and preparation of the surface of the wood is a crucial step in obtaining the desired look after the staining has been completed.  

Without soft washing or pressure washing, not only will your paint peel more quickly, but most of the dirt and imperfections will show through the stain, causing you to lose both your time and money.  We recommend using a soft washing cleaning process to safely clean the wood fence to avoid wood fiber damage. 

Pressure washing removes the protective sealant or doesn’t exist anymore, painting, staining and sealing is essential.

Otherwise, the wooden fence will be damaged by heavy sunlight and moisture.

Large estates, farms and Home Owners Associations sometimes have many miles of fence to paint or stain and these jobs can take longer.

You should stain both sides of your fence. Fences often fall along property lines, so you may want to save a buck by leaving your neighbor’s side in the dust. Moisture and UV rays can still sneak in through the side that’s unpainted/stained or worn down and damage your fence. Rot and rust will spread, even if you can’t see it from your side of the lawn. You may need to consult your neighbor. It will cost less to paint a single side, but it's not typically recommended. 

Yes, it does.  We will never stain a wet fence due to rain or fog.  The wood needs at least 24 hours to dry out in most cases. That's why we always recommend turning your sprinklers off the day before we are scheduled to stain your fence. We try to schedule jobs so that you get 12 to 24 hours of dry time, the truth is that it can rain 30 minutes after the end of the application with no ill effects.  The stain only requires 30 minutes to soak into the wood to be completely sealed and weatherproof. This is backed and guaranteed by the manufacturer. 

In most cases, staining a fence is far more cost-effective than replacing it. 

However, if your fence is in very poor condition, it may be worth considering a replacement.

While pressure washing is a term that is typically used unanimously, the first key difference to recognize is that: 

Pressure Washing uses highly pressurized water.

Using highly pressurized water, forcefully removes dirt, grime, stains, build-up, and anything it comes in contact with. This is very effective for cleaning hard surfaces, however their risks involved if you pressure wash the wrong surface. 

Soft washing is great for wood because it uses a combination of safe soaps, chemicals, and surfactants to help break down and clean grime/build-up. 

A soft washing method simply uses surfactants to do most of the work that then rinses the soaps off the surfaces. A pressure washer can scale back the PSI and use less pressure to then lightly rinse off the surface. Soft washing runs water over these surfaces lightly to prevent damaging the surface.
